REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame is an organisation that contributes to Sustainable Development by harnessing the potential of Arts, Culture, and Technology. We are a people-centred organization that believes in using innovative and creative approaches to global issues. We support people to be at the centre of change while building a prosperous and peaceful world. We inspire people to dare to create the change they want. To do this, we use different forms of artistic expression to enhance the 16 Sustainable Development Goals, thus promoting various forms of Artistic expression, training, and Development becomes a key part of our work.
For the past 4 years, we have been able to create footprints in the Arts and Culture industry and also in the development sector. We have registered remarkable success and have created a strong partnership with both local and international organisations. We are looking to improve our social media presence to better share our achievements, challenges and impact stories from our various projects.
Job Profile
As a Social Media Officer for REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame,you will be responsible for managing and growing the online presence of REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame across various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tiktok etc. The social media officer will work closely with the Communications Officer and Multimedia Officer for REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame to develop and implement effective social media strategies that align with the organisation’s vision and goals.
Job Summary
As a Social Media Officer for the REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame, you will play a very proactive role in supporting and implementing various social media contents and campaigns promoting the work we do on Restitution, Women in Film, with Children under the canopy Arts, Culture and Sports. You will work closely with the Communication Officer to brainstorm, create, develop and implement social media contents and campaigns that tell stories of the work we do in a unique and dynamic way. Your responsibilities will include content creation, media partnerships, engaging our audience and driving conversations about the work we do and related topics.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Social Media Officer will be entrusted with the following tasks:
General :
- Plan and schedule social media content in advance using tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.
- Increase our present number of followers, likes and engagement on all our social media platforms.
- Ensure that all content is accurate, relevant, timely, and compliant with the organisation’s policies and guidelines
- Use various tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc. to measure and report on the impact and effectiveness of social media activities
- Identify and engage with key influencers, bloggers, journalists, and other relevant stakeholders to increase the visibility and reach of REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame
- Conduct regular comparative analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
- Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in the industries related to the various projects of REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame and social media landscape
- Provide creative input and suggestions for new content ideas, formats, and campaigns
- Attend events and activities organised by REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame or represent REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame for events they have being invited to and capture live content for social media
- Work in collaboration with Communications Officer and Multimedia Producer
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Specific:
Social Media Strategy:
– Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame’s overall vision and projects.
– Conduct comparative analysis research for the various projects REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame carries out to identify industry trends, target audience, and activities other similar organisations carry out.
– Keep up-to-date with emerging social media platforms and recommend their inclusion in the organisation’s social media strategy.
Content Creation and Management:
– Create engaging multimedia content (text, images, videos) for various social media platforms, considering the various projects, objectives and target audience depending on the social media platform..
– Schedule and publish content on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) using social media management tools.
– Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media in a timely and professional manner.
– Collaborate with the Communications Officer to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across different communication channels.
– Create and update contents for the organisation’s website.
Social Media Advertising:
– Develop and execute paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms to increase the organisation’s exposure and visibility, drive traffic, and generate leads.
– Analyze campaign performance and optimise advertisements based on key metrics.
– Stay up-to-date with social media advertising trends and opportunities, making recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
Social Media Analytics:
– Monitor and analyse social media metrics, trends, and user engagement to evaluate the effectiveness of social media strategies and campaigns.
– Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
– Use social media listening tools to monitor online conversations about REGARTLESS formerly known as Sysy House of Fame, its projects and related topics.
- Create a monthly social media content calendar, including planned posts and campaigns.
- Write Bi-weekly analytics reports highlighting key performance indicators and insights.
- Regularly updated social media advertising campaigns with performance analysis and improvements.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Digital Marketing, Marketing, or related field
-At least 3-5 years of proven experience in social media management or digital marketing.
– In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Proficiency in content creation and using social media management tools.
– Adequate knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools such as Canva,Adobe photoshop,Inshot etc.
– Experience in social media advertising and analytics.
– Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Creative, innovative, and adaptable to changing situations
– Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
