Web of Plunder

The Web of Plunder is an initiative of REGARTLESS, dedicated to acquiring and restituting Africa’s cultural heritage plundered from communities of origin in colonial and post-colonial contexts. It untangles the web of heritage plunder by negotiating with individuals and private institutions to donate back to communities and families of origin. Where negotiations fail, we purchase on online platforms, auction houses, and private collections and restitute to preserve and protect cultural heritage, history, indigenous knowledge, and the dignity of Africa robbed with these heritages.
